God’s people

Our little nativity for little hands.  The other day I was in a little neighborhood shop and a sweet little grandmother type started chatting with me while we were waiting to check out.  She told me about this nativity set that her children handled and enjoyed when they were little.  She started estimating how old it was…and remarked about how much they loved handling it.  I was thinking we needed one for handling…and then low and behold when we were putting out decorations the boys found this one.  I had forgotten about it.  Anyway…I had them unpack it and set it up.  Perfect for little hands.   My youngest calls them, “God’s people”.  I explained to him that we are all God’s people….and remarked how lucky we were to be able to call ourselves just that!

Great thing about this cute craft is that it is really kid friendly.  My boys  and my neice (all 7 and under) made two each.  If they are old enough to respect a straight pin, then it will likely work out.

My oldest son was too funny while we were making these…he kept saying “Wow…this is so much fun…I have only poked my finger 20 times…this is great!”  Cracked me up.  Gotta respect that straight pin!

Christmas fun!

It doesn’t get any better than getting ready to celebrate Christmas!   I am so grateful for my Savior…and so blessed to be able to celebrate His birth!

 So I have been crafting and decorating for Christmas…and it has been a joy.

 I have to share one of my favorite scrapper’s blog, Ali Edwards.  She is always posting wonderful and neat ideas.  I also get her AE-zine (newsletter)…which she sends out roughly every month with ideas to make a person stretch in their creativity and thinking.

That being said…she has been planning and playing with lots of different Christmas ideas so I have been playing right along.  I will be posting pics of the projects soon.

Hello to all!

I have decided to start a blog.  It is not a family blog…I send out plenty of pics via Kodak gallery so no need for that.  This will basically be a blog so I can post cool crafts and stuff that just makes this girl happy.
